How to control your Ring devices through Google Assistant & Google Home with SimpleCommands

Many smart home users love that they can use their voice to control so many smart home devices through Google Assistant. SimpleCommands has a solution to enable our users to control their Ring devices with their voice and seamlessly integrate their Ring devices with the rest of their smart home!

Please follow the instructions below to enable voice control of your Ring devices through Google Assistant with SimpleCommands:

1. After enabling our Google Assistant Companion, run discovery in the Google Home app or ask your Google Assistant to "discover devices". Once this process is done these Routines will appear under the Routines menu in the Google Home app.

Now you are able to control your Ring devices with your voice! To run a Routine with your voice, say, "Hey Google, turn on [Routine name]", or "Hey Google, start [Routine name]".

If you want to be able to execute the Routine by saying, "Hey Google, secure home" or "Hey Google, home status" please see this article on how to customize prompt-words for Google Home Routines!

For any additional questions please visit our Knowledge Base, or contact us here. We'll get back to you as quickly as we can! To get started, go to the App Store or Google Play store and download SimpleCommands!
