Controlling SimpleCommands through Siri

Before controlling your SimpleCommands devices with Siri, make sure you add the SMS Companion first. Due to the nature of our integration you will need to do this before you can do anything with SimpleCommands via Siri.

Once you've added the SMS Companion, using Siri with SimpleCommands is, well... simple. First, prompt Siri by saying "Hey Siri" or press the home button on your iPhone/Apple watch.

Tell Siri you want to send a message to the SimpleCommands companion phone number you saved after adding the SMS Companion. Next, tell Siri what you want SimpleCommands to do (i.e. turn on your kitchen lights, open your garage, turn down A/C, etc.).

Finally, tell Siri to send the message and you're done! It's that simple.

Please keep in mind that we are currently working on a direct integration with Siri. Once that is complete you will be able to control your devices via Siri without sending an SMS message.
