How to Add SMS Support

SimpleCommands' SMS Companion allows you to text any requests directly to your SimpleCommands items, groups and routines. With SimpleCommands SMS support you can make a request even if you only have cell service or don't want to open the SC app! Follow the steps below to add the SMS support to your account.

Step 1. Press the 'settings/gear' icon in the upper left of your SimpleCommands app or web dashboard and select 'Manage SMS Access'.

Step 2. Validate your SimpleCommands password. We ask this just in case someone else discovers your unlocked phone.  This helps prevent your account from being hijacked :)

Step 3. Enter the mobile phone number that you wish to enable to SimpleCommands SMS access.  The format is 4135551212

Step 4. Enter the validation code from the SMS message you receive from SimpleCommands

Step 5. Don't forget to add the SimpleCommands number to your contact list so you can control your devices via SMS and via siri or google assistant by voice messaging your SimpleCommands contact.

To get started, go to the App Store or Google Play store and download SimpleCommands!
